JOBSEEKER | THE BEST WAY TO GET JOB IN
JAKARTA
Hiii….
Yaps
here we go again…
I
live in Indonesia, exactly in South Borneo. I work as a finance staff in one of
the company here, after a years I decided to resign because something reason I
cant tell you here.
I got
invitation for test and interview in Jakarta. I came to Jakarta as soon as
after I resign. I was recruited by one of the big company, but we have
complicated case that I can not tell you here too. So I didn’t get hire at this
company. I drawn into bad dream that I never imagine before.
At
that time I didn’t have too much money, but lucky me because I lived in my
sister’s family. So I didn’t pay for rent house. I choosed to stay in Jakarta while I applied
to other company. After 4 months as a jobseeker, I got my job as a finance
staff.
I
wanna share to you about how to get job
in Jakarta ? especially in Jakarta, but you can also try if u are in Bali,
Borneo, Yogya or other.
Okay
first you have to make account in some apps of jobseeker example jobsdb,
jobstreet, indeed, cdcindonesia, petromindo, linked in and other. But it didn’t
work too much. Here are my way to get a job :
ü Jobstreet
I recommend you to have
this app. It’s easy, you can download this on google store. Then, you sign up
with your email and then fill up your identity, experience, skill, education
and other. Also don’t forget to apload your curriculum vitae with pdf or word
format. This app is so good especially for me, because I can set up according to my experiences, skill,
education, location, and salary. So it helped me alot a lot.
This app gives update
everyday to your handphone, so you will know if there are new job vacancies. It
worked on me, because I got some test or interview from some big company I
applied. Just make sure you have enough experience and skill, so they will
interest to invite you for test or interview. Don’t worry if you are foreigner
or don’t understand Indonesia language because you can set up this app with
English language or other.
ü Facebook
If you have account on
facebook, you can join to job vacancies group. It’s more effective than
jobstreet for new entry level or someone only graduate from senior high school,
or someone who looking for part time job, because usually they (personal or
company) post their job vacancies directly here. But you have to be careful
with fake job vacancies, because it’s open on public so everyone can see this
and can post whatever they want.
Sometimes there are some
bad people post fake job vacancies, and if you send email or contact, they will
ask you send money for administration fee or whatever. In some case, there was
a lot of people cheated by them. They lost their money and still didn’t get a
job. So, just be careful bout it. If you find job vacancies, don’t forget to
search their company first on google, you can read a lot of review there. You
can make it sure job vacancies that you want to apply are good and trusted.
I got some invitation for test or
interview here, just some of small
company in Jakarta.
ü Kaskus
Do you think am I joking
now ? No at all.
I am very sure to recommend you for
this website. I got my part time and my job now from kaskus. First, just sign
up your account here, after that you can search “job vacancies” on forum.
Usually I check the forum
almost everyday. I check every vacancy and submit via email, sometimes I
contact the person first to make sure that the position still available. Kaskus
is good, I found very seldom bad case like cheating or fake job vacancies here.

So,
if you are looking for job now in Jakarta or Indonesia you can try my way. I
recommend it for fresh graduate or experience level. If you wanna apply to big
company and have a lot of experienced you can go check on their website,
because big company usually notice their vacancies at their website or linked
in. I recommend it for experienced level.
I also
used linked in, but mostly when I applied to their company, I never got
feedback or invitation from them. I don’t know it’s because I didn’t have
enough experience or other. I just got one invitation for interview from linked in. and I don’t know the result
yet, because they are still processing it.
I
also remind you, if you use my way don’t forget to check on google or ask your
friends the profile of company you want to apply before. Because you’ll never
know it’s fake or not. I just warn you to be careful. Life in Jakarta is not
easy, man :/
I
don’t review linked in above because I think everyone already know about linked
in.
So, yeah it’s my experience how to get job in Jakarta. What I used before to find job vacancies and how I applied it. It’s only my opinion based on my true story. We have different way and we have different opinion. I don’t say that it’s the best way for you, but you can try it. We’ll never know till we try it J
